The position is based at our Tatura, Victoria facility with scheduled trips within Victoria, NSW, Qld and South Australia.

In this role successful candidates will:

  • Be responsible for deliveries to intrastate and interstate clients
  • Follow all company procedures
  • Correct completion of all required paperwork
  • Undertake required inductions and training
  • Maintain accurate work diary or run sheets for all trips

The successful applicant is required to possess the following:

  • Current MC  licence
  • Excellent reading and writing skills
  • BFM trained but not essential
  • Minimum 1+years as a MC Driver
  • Experience operating and/or transporting general freight and equipment
  • Good geographical knowledge of Melbourne and surrounding suburbs and Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Safety focused
  • problem solving skills

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Transport Services Manager with a ‘Can Do’ attitude to support our transport functions which operate from Tatura, Nagambie and Altona.

More about the Position:

Based at Tatura within our Transport Operations team, providing a high level of hands-on support to plan and coordinate activities of transport personnel. Key accountabilities within role include:

  • Developing freight solutions to ensure safe and competitive freight services for local and interstate deliveries.
  • Oversee delivery scheduling
  • Lead and drive operational excellence in CoR
  • Lead operation excellence in both loading and unloading of trucks
  • Lead and support staff to achieve standards of service excellence
  • Maintain records of schedules to ensure accurate monthly reporting
  • Contribute to a positive safety culture through risk ownership and active participation in safety programs along with adherence to all OHS regulations

 

Skills and qualifications required

  • Forklift Licence with forklift operations experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in logistics and supply chain management – Degree level highly regarded

 

About the experience, background and skill set Requirements:

  • Applicants must have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role or extensive background in transport management/logistics with a strong understanding of supply chain processes and systems.
  • Highly organised and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong time, resources, and people management skillset
  • High level of computer literacy and strong English language skills
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and committed work outlook with a strong desire to achieve results
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and support HACCP policies and practices
